Video: Let’s make our stance on homosexuality clear – Rocky Dawuni

Grammy nominee, Rocky Dawuni, is calling on the government to make a clear stance on homosexuality.

The issue of the stance of the country became a huge debate on both social and traditional media after President Akufo-Addo was asked the infamous question on Aljazeera.

Reggae artiste Rocky, who is the first Ghanaian to receive a Grammy nomination, suggests the issue be a given a consideration that depicts Africanism.

“I think, the thing is that we just have to nationally (sic) consider it and make our response to it. It is a matter of Africa so Africans have to look at what it is and make our pronunciation”.

Though Rocky Dawuni could not clearly state his position on the subject, he tells JoyNews’ MzGee, the onus lies with President.

“The thing is that I don’t like to impose my ideas on issues like this because, from my travels, my position has always been that I am not a judge of people. I am a child of God; I unite people that is my role,” he said.

“Everybody in the world has whatever they feel is their responsibility to themselves and to God…Our president [Akufo-Addo] can best answer that question,” Rocky Dawuni added.
