MzVee, Kidi, Kumai Eugene shake ‘Turn Up Party’ as DJ Obina is crowned winner

Lynx Entertainment trio – MzVee, Kidi, Kuami Eugene – made a surprise appearance at the 2017 edition of the Hitz FM’s ‘Turn Up Party’ Sunday night.

The trio, who are currently the biggest names in music this year, did not fail to deliver as they brought their energy and dexterity to bear on the night.

Armed with three of the biggest songs of the year, they got busy entertaining the hundreds of fans who had thronged the Junction Mall at Nungua for the party.

They seamlessly collaborated with each other to perform ‘Odo’ by Kidi, ‘Angela’ by Kuami Eugene and ‘Sing My Name’ by MzVee’.

By the time they were done with the performances, the crowd was yearning for more.

The night was, however, not about only their performance. The ‘Turn Up Party’ is used to crowned the next big name in Deejaying in Ghana.

The night’s Hottest DJ Competition finals was between DJ Obina, DJ Exzibit and DJ Coleda, the only female in the competition.

After taking turns to impress the judges – Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty, DJ Killer Fingers of YFM, and DJ Premier of Accra FM – and the massive crowd that turned up for the finale.

After the heated competition, DJ Obina was crowned the winner of the 2017 edition of the Hitz FM’s Hottest DJ Competition. DJ Exzibit emerged as the first runner-up while DJ Coleda was the second runner-up third.

For his prize, DJ Obina won a trip to South Africa, a flat screen TV, professional turntable, a phone, and souvenirs from sponsors. He will also work with Hitz FM for six months.

Hitz FM’s Mc Gizo, KMJ and Merqury Quaye were the MCs for the night.
